Frequently asked questions
What is Businesslang?
Businesslang is an independent buying guide for business software. We publish buying guides, shortlists, reviews, comparisons and case studies for small and mid sized businesses.
How do you choose which tools to recommend?
We start from the job the software must do, compare plans at the tier a typical business would actually need, read the vendor's documentation and limits, and weigh total cost, ease of setup and the cost of leaving later. Our editorial policy describes the full method.
Do vendors pay to appear on Businesslang?
No. Rankings, scores and shortlist places are never sold. If a page ever contains a referral link that can earn us a fee, the page discloses it and the fee does not change the verdict.
How current are the prices on your pages?
Prices and plan limits are checked on the vendor's pricing page and each article shows its last updated date. Software prices change often, so always confirm on the vendor page before you buy.
Why do you show annual and monthly prices separately?
Many vendors advertise the annual price, which is billed upfront and is often much lower per month than paying month to month. We say which one a price is so you can compare like with like.
Do you give legal, tax or financial advice?
No. Our guidance is general information to help you buy software. For contract, tax or compliance decisions, consult a qualified professional.
How do I report a mistake?
Use the contact form and choose "Correction". Tell us the page and what is wrong. We check every report and update the page when the correction is confirmed.
